What is a BoobQuake Earthquake?
Jen McCreight, a feminist from Indiana, has created an international Boobquake stir after hearing a statement by Hojatoleslam Kazim Sadeghi, an Iranian cleric, when he said that when girls and women dress inappropriately that they spread promiscuity in society: "When promiscuity spreads, earthquakes increase. There is no way other than taking refuge in religion and adapting ourselves to Islamic behavior."
This hard-line Iranian cleric is saying that women who dress in a provocative manner and tempt men are the cause for earthquakes. What a ridiculous statement to make in my opinion. But that is his religion and he is entitled to his opinion.
So Jen started up a FaceBook group encouraging women today to dress in a more revealing manner than they normally would, but nothing extreme, to conduct a scientific experiment today to see if it would cause an Boobquake. As of two days ago she has over 50,000 women pledging to take part, all in the name of science of course. Well maybe to poke a bit of fun at this crazy statement that was made.
The winners of this test will surely be men worldwide. Let the cleavage contest begin! But I'm sure you must be wondering: What if there is a major earthquake today? Will it have been caused by a BoobQuake? How will we ever know for sure? We just may have to repeat this awesome experiment often. I sure wouldn't mind!
Seeing how CNN and FoxNews have picked up on the Boobquake story and it's currently #7 on the hottest trending topics on Twitter at 3:30 A.M. I Couldn't pass this story up. I always love to write about a funny story. And when its about Boobs, well thats just icing on the cake.

Science Verses Religion
On Jen McCreight's Blog she says: "On Monday, April 26th, I will wear the most cleavage-showing shirt I own. Yes, the one usually reserved for a night on the town. I encourage other female skeptics to join me and embrace the supposed supernatural power of their breasts. Or short shorts, if that's your preferred form of immodesty.
She goes on to say: "With the power of our scandalous bodies combined, we should surely produce an earthquake. If not, I'm sure Sedighi can come up with a rational explanation for why the ground didn't rumble. And if we really get through to him, maybe it'll be one involving plate tectonics."
It sure won't hurt any that Jen McCreight has size D breasts, she says this in the YouTube video below. She can contribute a lot to her own BoobQuake experiment.
To keep this a truly scientific experiment Jen has promised to collect statistics on how many earthquakes there are today and their severity. Or should that be how many BoobQuakes all of this causes? If there were to be a major earthquake today this experiment will only grow larger and larger just like an actor's Boobs who is addicted to silicon injections.
If there was any truth at all to the statements made by this Iranian cleric surely all of Las Vegas would have long ago been destroyed by earthquakes. Thankfully Las Vegas, NV. is still here as it is where I live.

Great Hub! Clerics have a way of knowing exactly what causes everything...why don't they have an answer for what causes fanatical extremeism? Which by the way is not limited to the Islamic states.
LOL. Way to reveal this to me. Without your fine hub exposing the jiggling truth behind earthquakes and the cleavage that exists between Islam and tectonic stability, I would never have grasped that such a pair of opposing spheres of information could rub against one another as they do. I'll gladly lend a hand in supporting this movement.

I don't know about an earthquake being caused by cleveage, but cleavage can jar your attention in much the same way.
Which way is the beach?
Harlan Colt you make a good point. While there are not any beaches close by, I do always have the Las Vegas Strip. Considering how women often dress there, it isn't much different than a beach. One of Las Vegas's nicknames is, Adult Disneyland for good reason.
I'd love to have you stop by sometime, MyWebs. I'm going to take the request you made somewhere, here or elsewhere, that people not take your boob hub as "you" and read your other stuff and go do just that. There is a lot of "noise" on HP. People have to slow down and connect on human levels. Read for real, not ... whatever. Your point about that seemed so genuine. So, I'm off to poke at a few of your hubs randomly.

Wow I never thought a cleric would associate earthquakes with women's boobs. Maybe the cleric didn't like science that much that he associated it with us. But this hub is funny! great work you have here MyWebs. And I would like to know the result of this experiment and the reaction of the cleric. =D
The results? Well there was one major Earthquake that day, in Taiwan if I recall correctly. So I think we need to do this again and again until we know for sure.
